WORSHIP IN SONG:  SHOUT TO THE NORTH (by Martin Smith)

Men of faith, rise up and sing of the great and glorious King.

You are strong when you feel weak, in your brokenness complete.

Chorus: Shout to the north and the south; sing to the east and the west.  Jesus is Savior to all, Lord of heaven and earth.

Rise up, women of the truth, stand and sing to broken hearts

who can know the healing pow’r of our glorious King of love.  (Chorus)

We’ve been through fire, we’ve been through rain; we’ve been refined by the pow’r of His name.

We’ve fallen deeper in love with You.  You’ve burned the truth on our lips.  (Chorus)

Rise up, church with broken wings, fill this place with songs again of our God who reigns on high.

By His grace again we’ll fly.  (Chorus)   (1995 Curious? Music)

FOREVER  (by Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves)

Give thanks to the Lord our God and King; His love endures forever.  For He is good; He is above all things.  His love endures forever. Sing praise.  Sing praise.

With a mighty hand and outstretched arm, His love endures forever.  For the life that’s been reborn, His love endures forever.

Chorus: Sing praise.  Sing praise.  Forever God is faithful.  Forever God is strong.  Forever God is with us, forever, forever.

From the rising to the setting sun His love endures forever.  And by the grace of God we will carry on; His love endures forever.  (Chorus)   (2000 Six Steps Music)

WE ARE ONE BODY (Paul Baloche/Ed Kerr)

Though we are many, we are one body,  we are one body in Christ.  (Repeat)

Verse:  One faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, binding us together in one cause; One hope in the one God, One Father over all.  (1993 Integrity's Hosanna! Music)

OPENING PRAYER

GOD AND GOD ALONE (by Phill McHugh)

God and God alone created all these things we call our own, from the mighty to the small, the glory in them all is God’s and God’s alone.

Chorus: God and God alone is fit to take the universe’s throne; let ev’rything that lives reserve its truest praise for God and God alone.

God and God alone reveals the truth of all we call unknown, and all the best and worst of man won’t change the Master’s plan, it’s God’s and God’s alone!  (Chorus)

God and God alone will be the joy of our eternal home, He will be our desire, our hearts will never tire of God’s and God’s alone! (Chorus)  (1988 River Oaks Music)

MORE LOVE, MORE POWER (by Jude Del Hierro)

More love, more power, more of You in my life; More love, more power, more of You in my life.

And I will worship You with all of my heart, and I will worship You with all of my mind;

And I will worship You with all of my strength, You are my Lord, You are my Lord, You are my Lord.

(1987 Mercy Publishing)

THE CHURCH'S ONE FOUNDATION

The church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord; she is his new creation by water and the Word.

From heaven he came and sought her to be his holy bride; with his own blood he bought her, and for her life he died.

Elect from every nation, yet one o'er all the earth; her charter of salvation, one Lord, one faith, one birth;

one holy name she blesses, partakes one holy food, and to one hope she presses, with every grace endued.

Yet she on earth hath union with God the Three in One, and mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won.  O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we like them, the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with thee.  (Public Domain)

BRINGING OUR NEEDS TO GOD:  Prayers of the People

Prayer Response:  SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER  (Walford/ Bradbury)

Sweet hour of prayer!  Sweet hour of prayer!  that calls me from a world of care, and bids me at my Father’s throne make all my wants and wishes known.  In seasons of distress and grief, my soul has often found relief, and oft escaped the tempter’s snare by thy return, sweet hour of prayer!  (Public Domain)
