WORSHIP IN SONG:        MIGHTY IS OUR GOD (By Greco, Gustafson, Moen)

Mighty is our God, mighty is our King; Mighty is our Lord, ruler of ev'rything.

Glory to our God, glory to our King; Glory to our Lord,  ruler of ev'rything.

His name is higher, higher than any other name: His pow'r is greater, for He has created ev'rything.

(1989 Integrity's Hosanna! Music)

SHOUT JOYFULLY  (by Tom Brooks)

Shout! Shout joyfully unto God, all the earth.  Shout! Shout joyfully unto God, all the earth.

Sing the glory of His name and make His praises glorious.

Shout! Shout joyfully unto God, all the earth. Joyfully, joyfully, all the earth shall worship Thee.

Joyfully, joyfully, we will sing our praise to Thee, singing praises to Thy name.  (1985 Integrity's Hosanna! Music)

LORD OF THE DANCE  (by Sydney Carter)

I danced in the morning when the world was begun, and I danced in the moon and the stars and the sun,

and I came down from heaven and I danced on the earth. At Bethlehem I had my birth.

refrain:  Dance, then, wherever you may be; I am the Lord of the Dance, said he.

And I'll lead you all wherever you may be, and I'll lead you all in the dance, said he.

I danced for the scribe and the Pharisee, but they would not dance and they would not follow me;

I danced for the fishermen, for James and John; they came to me and the dance went on. (refrain)

I danced on the sabbath when I cured the lame, the holy people said it was a shame;

they whipped and they stripped and they hung me high; and they left me there on a cross to die. (refrain)

I danced on a Friday and the sky turned black; it's hard to dance with the devil on your back;

they buried my body and they thought I'd gone, but I am the dance and I still go on. (refrain)

They cut me down and I leapt up high, I am the life that'll never, never die; I'll live in you if you'll live in me;

I am the Lord of the Dance, said he. (refrain)    (1963, 1989 Galliard, Ltd)

PRAYER OF CONFESSION:

O God, source of all that makes life possible, Giver of all that makes life good:

We gather to give you our thanks, yet we confess that we have often failed to live our thankfulness.

What we have we take for granted, and we grumble about what we lack.

We have squandered your bounty, with little thought of those who will come after us.

We are more troubled by the few who have more than by the many who have less.

Forgive us, O God.  In this hour of worship, accept our thanksgiving;

And teach us to make gratitude and sharing our way of life: through the grace of Jesus Christ. Amen.

BE GLORIFIED  (by Billy Funk)

Be glorified, be glorified.  Be glorified.  Be glorified.

Worship the Lord, worship the Lord; Worship the Lord, worship the Lord.

Be glorified in the heavens, be glorified in the earth;

Be glorified in this temple,  Jesus, Jesus, be Thou glorified, Jesus, Jesus, be Thou glorified.

Worship the Lord in the heavens,  worship the Lord in the earth;

Worship the Lord in this temple,  Jesus, Jesus, be Thou glorified, Jesus, Jesus, be Thou glorified.

(1991 Integrity's Praise! Music)

GREAT ARE YOU LORD (by Steve & Vikki Cook)

Holy Lord, most holy Lord, You alone are worthy of my praise.

O holy Lord, most holy Lord, with all of my heart I sing.

Great are You, Lord; worthy of praise, holy and true.

Great are You, Lord, most holy Lord.  (1984 Maranatha! Music)

BE STILL FOR THE PRESENCE (by David Evans)

Be still, for the presence of the Lord, the Holy One is here.  Come, bow before Him now,

with reverence and fear.  In Him no sin is found, we stand on holy ground.

Be still, for the presence of the Lord, the Holy One is here.

Be still, for the glory of the Lord is shining all around.  He burns with holy fire, with splendour He is crowned.  How awesome is the sight, our radiant King of Light!  Be still, for the glory of the Lord is shining all around.

Be still, for the power of the Lord is moving in this place.  He comes to cleanse and heal, to minister His grace.  No work too hard for Him, in faith receive from Him, Be still, for the power of the Lord is moving in this place. (1986 Thankyou Music)

The congregation is invited to receive Communion at the Communion rails.  Come forward when you are ready, and receive the Communion elements with joy.  These symbols represent the Body and Blood of Jesus offered for our forgiveness and new life.  The invitation to receive comes from Jesus himself, and is not based on membership in this or any other Church.  While you are waiting for your place at the Communion rail, take advantage of this quiet time to meditate, and offer your personal prayer and praise to God.
