WORSHIP IN SONG:  GOD IS IN THE HOUSE (by Russell Fragar & Darlene Zschech)

As for me, God came and found me.  As for me He took me home.

As for me, He gave me a family, and I’ll never walk alone.

In my life I’m soaked in blessing and in heaven there’s a great reward.

As for me and my house, we’re gonna serve the Lord.

I’ve got Jesus, Jesus, He calls me for His own.  And He lifts me, lifts me above the world I know.

God is in the house, there is no doubt God is in the house can’t keep Him out.

As for me and my house, we’re gonna serve the Lord.   (Hillsongs Australia)

BY HIS WOUNDS (by Mac Powell)

He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our sins, the punishment that brought us peace

was upon Him.  And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed.  (repeat)

We are healed by your sacrifice, in the life that You gave.

We are healed for you paid the price, by Your grace we are saved.  We are saved.

He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our sins, the punishment that brought us peace

was upon Him.  And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed.

YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER  (by Vicky Beeching)

Everlasting God, the years go by, but You’re unchanging.

In this fragile world, You are the only firm foundation.

Chorus:  Always loving, always true, always merciful and good, so good.  Yesterday, today, and forever.

You are the same, You never change.  Yesterday, today, and forever; You are faithful, and we will trust in You.  We will trust in You.

Uncreated One, You have no end and no beginning, earthly powers fade, but there is no end to Your kingdom.

Chorus:  Always loving, always true, always merciful and good, so good.  Yesterday, today, and forever.

You are the same, You never change.  Yesterday, today, and forever; You are faithful, and we will trust in You.  We will trust in You.  We will trust in You.   (2002 Thankyou Music)

PRAYER OF CONFESSION:

God of patience, your people grow weary.

We complain and question.  We put you to the test.

Our mouths say ‘yes’, but our deeds say ‘no’.

When we wander off your path,

when we fail to follow through on our good intentions,

when we give our attention to trivial things; Gently call us back to you.

Empty our hearts of anger and pride.

Empty our souls of greed and selfishness.

Empty our minds of envy, doubt, and mistrust.

As you poured out your very self through your beloved Son,

pour your Spirit into our hearts today.

Forgive us our wrongdoing.  Reclaim us with your love.

Through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

MORE PRECIOUS THAN SILVER  (by Lynn DeShazo)

Lord, You are more precious than silver.  Lord, You are more costly than gold.

Lord, You are more beautiful than diamonds and nothing I desire compares with You.

LIFT YOUR VOICE (by Cindy & Becky Cruse)

Lift your voice and sing praises to the King.  Let your worship rise; to the true Messiah gifts we bring.

Lift your voice and sing.  Sing alleluia.  Sing alleluia.  Sing alleluia to the King.

Sing alleluia. Sing alleluia.  Sing alleluia to the King of kings.   (1999 Cruse Ministries)

LET ALL MORTAL FLESH KEEP SILENCE (4th century)   VERSES 1, 3 & 4

Let all mortal flesh keep silence, and with fear and trembling stand; ponder nothing earthly minded,

for with blessing in his hand, Christ our God to earth descendeth, our full homage to demand.

Rank on rank the host of heaven spreads its vanguard on the way, as the Light of light descendeth

from the realms of endless day, that the powers of hell may vanish as the darkness clears away.

At his feet the six-winged seraph, cherubim, with sleepless eye, veil their faces to the presence,

as with ceaseless voice they cry: Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Lord Most High!  (Public Domain)

BRINGING OUR NEEDS TO GOD (Prayers of the People)

PRAYER RESPONSE:  IT IS YOU  (by Pete Sanchez, Jr.)

It is You, it is You, it is You that I love.  It is You, my Lord and King, I apprehend to know and be known. You, it is You, it is You that I worship. Holy, holy, worthy, yes, You're worthy.  How I love You, Lord.

(1983 Integrity's Hosanna! Music)
