WORSHIP IN SONG:
PRAISE TO THE LORD, THE ALMIGHTY (by Joachim Neander, S. Paul
Schilling, Rupert E. Davies)
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the
King of creation! O my soul, praise him
for he is thy health and salvation! All
ye who hear, now to his temple draw near; join me in glad adoration!
Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously
reigning bears thee on eagle’s wings, e’er in his
keeping maintaining. God’s care enfolds
all, whose true good he upholds. Hast
thou not known his sustaining?
Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend
thee; surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend thee. Ponder anew what the Almighty can do, who
with his love doth befriend thee.
Praise to the Lord, who doth nourish thy life and restore thee, fitting thee well for the tasks
that are ever before thee. Then to thy need God as a
mother doth speed, spreading the wings of grace o’er thee.
Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him! All that hath life and breath,
come now with praises before him! Let the amen sound
from his people again, gladly forever adore him.

YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER (by Vicky Beeching)
Everlasting God, the years go by, but You’re unchanging.
In this fragile world, You are the only firm foundation.
Chorus: Always loving, always true, always merciful
and good, so good. Yesterday,
today, and forever.
You are the same, You never change.
Yesterday, today, and forever; You are
faithful, and we will trust in You. We
will trust in You.
Uncreated One, You have no end and no beginning, earthly powers fade, but there is no end to Your kingdom.
Chorus: Always loving, always true, always merciful
and good, so good. Yesterday,
today, and forever.
You are the same, You never change.
Yesterday, today, and forever; You are
faithful, and we will trust in You. We
will trust in You.
We will trust in You. (2002 Thankyou Music)
OPENING PRAYER:
Holy One, we come to
worship today expecting miracles of life, faith and hope. We rejoice in the knowledge that you grant
us, and pray for the enlightenment that will reveal to us the power of your
love. As your purpose becomes clear to
us through the work of your saints in our midst, may we know that we also are
the image of your love, hope and faith.
We are your children now! Amen!
PRECIOUS LORD, TAKE MY HAND (by Thomas Dorsey)
Precious Lord, take my hand, lead me on, let me stand, I am tired, I am weak, I am worn;
through the storm, through the
night, lead me on to the light: Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.
When my way grows drear, precious Lord, linger near, when my life is almost gone,
hear my cry, hear my call, hold my
hand lest I fall: Take my hand, precious
Lord, lead me home.
When the darkness appears and the night draws near, and the day is past and gone,
at the river I stand, guide my
feet, hold my hand: Take my hand,
precious Lord, lead me home.(Public
Domain)
O LORD, YOUR TENDERNESS (by Graham Kendrick)
O Lord, Your tenderness, melting all my bitterness; O Lord, I receive Your love.
O Lord, Your loveliness, changing my unworthiness, O Lord, I receive Your love.
O Lord, I receive Your love. O
Lord, I receive Your love. (1997 ThankYou Music)
BRINGING
OUR NEEDS TO GOD (Prayers of
the People)
PRAYER RESPONSE: LEAD ME, LORD Psalm 5:8, 4:8
Lead me, Lord, lead me in thy righteousness; make thy way plain before my face.
For it is thou, Lord, thou Lord only, that makest me dwell in safety.
