WORSHIP IN SONG:  MIGHTY IS OUR GOD (By Greco, Gustafson, Moen)

Mighty is our God, mighty is our King; Mighty is our Lord, ruler of ev'rything.

Glory to our God, glory to our King; Glory to our Lord,  ruler of ev'rything.

His name is higher, higher than any other name: His pow'r is greater, for He has created ev'rything.

(1989 Integrity's Hosanna! Music)

I WILL TRUST IN THE LORD (arr. Wm. Farley Smith)

I will trust in the Lord, I will trust in the Lord, I will trust in the Lord, till I die;

I will trust in the Lord, I will trust in the Lord, I will trust in the Lord, till I die.

Sister, will you trust...till you die.

Brother, will you trust...till you die.

Preacher, will you trust...till you die.    (United Methodist Hymnal)

LET THE RIVER FLOW  (by Darrell Evans)

Let the poor man say, “I am rich in Him,” let the lost man say, “I am found in Him,” and let the river flow;

Let the blind man say, “I can see again,” let the dead man say, “I am born again,” and let the river flow,

let the river flow.

Chorus: Let the river flow, let the river flow; Holy Spirit, come, move in power.  Let the river flow, let the river flow; Holy Spirit, come, move in power.  Let the river flow, let the river flow, let the river flow.

(1995 Mercy/Vineyard Pub.)

*PRAYER OF CONFESSION:

O God, our refuge, cover us now.

Protect us from the glaring sun, the blasting rain and the gale-like winds.

Forgive us for the many times we stray from your foundation

    and wander away from the cover of your love.

Forgive us when we build our lives on beliefs that shift,

    and on priorities that are like quicksand.

Offer your saving hand, that we may walk away from treacherous places

    and live in the safety of your love.

Help us trust the foundation of your ways, truly believing that love will survive even the

    stormiest waters of life.

In the name of Christ, the rock of our faith, we pray.  Amen.

COME, LET US WORSHIP AND BOW DOWN   (by Dave Doherty)

Come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our God, our Maker.

For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture; And the sheep of His hand, just the sheep of His hand.  (1980 Maranatha! Music)

MY HOPE IS BUILT (by Edward Mote)

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness.

I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name.

Refrain:  On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils his lovely face, I rest on his unchanging grace.

In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil. (repeat refrain)

His oath, his covenant, his blood support me in the whelming flood.

When all around my soul gives way, he then is all my hope and stay.  (refrain)

When he shall come with trumpet sound, O may I then in him be found!

Dressed in his righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne. (refrain)   (Public Domain)

IN THE PRESENCE OF JEHOVAH (by Geron Davis)

In the presence of Jehovah God Almighty, Prince of Peace,

Troubles vanish, hearts are mended in the presence of the King.

(1985 Meadowgreen Music)

BRINGING OUR NEEDS TO GOD (Prayers of the People)

PRAYER RESPONSE: MY ALL IN ALL   (by Hernandez & Saunders)

You are my strength, O God, You are my help, O God, You are the One on whom I call;

You are my shield, O God, my life I yield, O God, for You will ever be my all in all.  (1975 Sparrow Song)

These symbols represent the Body and Blood of Jesus offered for our forgiveness and new life.  The invitation to receive comes from Jesus himself, and is not based on membership in this or any other Church.

While you are waiting for your place at the Communion rail, take advantage of this quiet time to meditate,

and offer your personal prayer and praise to God.
