*OPENING SONG MY HOPE IS BUILT (by
Edward Mote)
My hope is built on nothing
less than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest
frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name.
When darkness veils his
lovely face, I rest on his unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy
gale, my anchor holds within the veil. (refrain)
Refrain: On
Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.
When he shall come with
trumpet sound, O may I then in him be found!
Dressed in his righteousness
alone, faultless to stand before the throne. (refrain) (Public
Domain)

thanksgiving and call on the name of the Lord.
Leader:
I will pay my vow to the Lord in the presence of all his people,
All: In the courts of the house of the Lord, in

*OPENING
PRAYER
God,
there is so much in the world to be happy about, yet sometimes all we can see
are the things that depress us. Anger is
a choice. Sadness is a choice. Help us choose joy. You are the Creator of joy, God. From the moment of creation, you said it was
all good. Let us find the good in all
things. Let us see the joy in children
and follow their example. Let us see the
beautiful leaves of the tree and not the dark, hard trunk. Let us hear the music on the radio and not
focus on the miles we have left to drive.
Turn us around, God. Pick us up
and spin us like you did Paul. We are
blind, now. Let us see the joy that exists
in every living thing. Let us see the
joy that surrounds us and follows us
and lives in us. Amen (Steven L. Case – The Book of Uncommon Prayer, II)
HYMN OF PRAISE SEEK YE FIRST (by Karen
Lafferty)
Seek ye first the kingdom of
God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added unto you Hallelu, halleluia!
Ask and it shall be given
unto you; Seek and ye shall find;
Knock, and the door shall be opened unto you. Hallelu, halleluia!
Chorus: Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelu, hallelujah!
Let your light so shine
before men that they may see your good works
and glorify your Father in heaven, Hallelu,
hallelujah!
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, He shall direct thy paths,
In all thy ways acknowledge
Him, Hallelu, hallelujah!
Chorus: Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelu, hallelujah! (Maranatha Music)

*CLOSING HYMN IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL (by Horatio Spafford)
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, it is well, it is
well with my soul.
Though Satan should buffet,
though trials should come, let this blest assurance control,
that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and hath shed
his own blood for my soul.
Refrain: It is
well with my soul, it is well, it is well with my soul.
My sin, oh, the bliss of this
glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole,
is nailed to the cross, and I
bear it no more, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! (refrain)
And, Lord, haste the day when
my faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as
a scroll;
the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, even
so, it is well with my soul. (refrain)

A NOTE TO PARENTS
We love children and your little ones are welcome in
our worship service. On those days when
your child is fussy, the parlor located behind the sanctuary provides an
excellent place to care for your child and still participate in the worship
service.
