READING Romans 6:1-11
Pastor: What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may
increase?
People: By no means!
We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
Pastor: Or don’t you know that all of us who were
baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
People: We were buried with him through baptism into
death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory
of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Pastor: If we have been united with him in a death
like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
People: For we know that our old self was crucified
with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should
no longer be slaves to sin – because anyone who has died has been set free from
sin.
Pastor: Now if we died with Christ, we believe that
we will also live with him. For we know
that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no
longer has mastery over him. The death
he died, he died to sin once and for all; but the life he lives, he lives to
God.
People: In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin
but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

CALL TO PRAYER IN
HIS TIME (by Diane Ball)
In His time, in His time, He
makes all things beautiful in His time.
Lord, please show me ev'ry day, as you're teaching me your way,
that you do just what you say, in your time.
In your time, in your time,
you make all things beautiful in your time.
Lord, my life to you I bring,
may each song I have to sing
be to you a lovely thing, in your time. (1983 Maranatha! Music)
PASTORAL
PRAYER
THE LORD’S
PRAYER
Our Father, who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy
kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive
those who trespass against us. And lead
us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
CHORAL AMEN
WE CELEBRATE
OUR LIFE IN CHRIST
We welcome all who are worshiping with us this

We love children and your little ones are welcome in
our worship service. On those days when
your child is fussy, the parlor located behind the sanctuary provides an
excellent place to care for your child and still participate in the worship
