RUMMAGE SALE – APRIL 14TH & 15TH
We may be in the midst of winter but spring is right around the corner and with it our Spring Rummage Sale. We will be collecting items in the Fellowship Hall on Monday April 12th and Tuesday April 13th from 9 am to 8 pm. If the Fellowship Hall is full we may need to shut the doors early on Tuesday.
We are accepting items in like new/gently used condition. Infants', children's and women's clothing are always needed as are household items, linens and jewelry. We can not accept items which require two people to carry such as sofas or large pieces of fitness equipment. If anyone is interested in spending an hour or two folding clothes we can certainly use the help.
The Rummage Sale benefits not only those projects which receive monetary support from the proceeds, but also individuals in our community who are in need of such affordable clothing and household items. It is also a great way to help the environment by recycling and reusing - but please remember if it is trash please place it there.
If you have any questions you can contact Ellen Bleidorn at 778-1579. Organized by Sarah Circle and Adult Fellowship.
USED EYEGLASSES AND SUNGLASSES NEEDED
If you have any used reading glasses, non-prescription UV-protected sunglasses, or non-astigmatism distance glasses that you would otherwise discard, please donate to the box placed in the hallway at the Pleasant Valley entrance (near the food pantry). These glasses will be re-prescribed in India through “United For Sight”, a non-profit organization that empowers communities worldwide to improve eye health and eliminate preventable blindness. For more information contact Emily Wright at EmWright21(at)gmail.com or 609-636-7374.
A.M.E. FOOD PANTRY
Please look for items labeled “low salt” (with good expiration dates). We gladly accept non-perishable food which is taken monthly to the Bethel AME Church’s Food Bank. Place food in the first set of white cabinets near the Pleasant Valley entrance.
