First United Methodist Church of Moorestown is pleased to announce the arrival of our new pastor, The Reverend Thomas Korkuch, to our congregation and community. He officially begins his duties as Senior Pastor on July 1, 2018, and is preaching on Saturday, June 30th at our 5:30 p.m. service.
Tom is in his twenty-third year of ordained ministry and has served as student assistant pastor at Sparta UMC, associate pastor at Grace UMC in Wyckoff, and Senior Pastor at Westwood UMC before serving his last appointment at Archer UMC in Allendale, NJ. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and Drew University, and has a strong mission focus and enjoys facilitating learning and spiritual growth. He places a high value on employing the gifts of the laity, a commitment to children and young people, and a deep love and appreciation of music. His desire is to be a church not just for the congregation, but also for the community.
Tom has been married to his wife, Lisa for 26 years and has two sons, Patrick 22, and Michael 19. Also joining them will be their 10 year-old beagle, “Ike”.
First United Methodist Church is looking forward to Pastor Tom Korkuch leading us in continued spiritual growth.
